Erathquake Attack!

At 4.34 am on Saturday morning there was a horrific earthquake
in Christchurch. Buildings, chimney's and glass had fallen to the ground from high
buildings ans shops, also roads and footpaths has moved so that means that some water pipes
are not working so it is hard to get water that is not contaminated. They closed the airport
for inspections of cracks and unleveled ground so when people arrive in Christchurch to look
at the disaster no one on the aeroplane gets hurt. Its a miracle that no one died but there where people that got miner injury's and two men that got serous injury's because they got hit by chimneys falling above there heads. People are sleeping in schools because there houses are demolished, the Army are helping people by providing food and board games for people because there is hardly any electricity. Old museums and buildings have been demolished by the earthquake and will probably not be re made!

Rubber band car

Lauren and I have finally made our Rubber band car (it was hard work).

Let me tell you about it, well we started off ok when we made the wheels but
after that it was bad because we made our car and it did not move at all. We only had half an hour left for us to finish the whole thing. But luckily Jonathan our teacher said we could take it home to finish it so Lauren took it to her house because her dad could help her with our car.

The next morning Lauren took the car to school and it looked new and it said "pimp my ride" on it!
This car worked great but only great with a really thin rubber band and we are only allowed to use a fat rubber band! So at the end we did not finish the car.

Rich task/ flying car

At school our class inquiry task is to make a model that includes forces
and energy. Me, Bianca, and Lauren are making a model car with a spring.
The model car will be made out of polystyrene.we will but the car on the spring and one
of us will push the spring and car down, then let go so the car will go flying
in the air ( some times the spring goes flying as well)

We will also do it side ways so the car will go side ways.

Current events

A thirteen year old boy called Jordan Romere climbed to the top of
Mount Everest. He thought of this idea of climbing Mount Everest
at school where a poster was hung up of the seven biggest monitions.
Once he got to the top of Mount Everest he phoned up his mum and said
" I'm on top of the world! "Also when he was ten he climbed mount Kilimanjaro.

My opinion is: Wow he's only thirteen and he's climbed Mount Everest,
that must be a record!
